Seattle Seahawks 2024 Game-By-Game Predictions

As the 2024 NFL Season approaches, one team that is one of the bigger wildcards could be the Seattle Seahawks.

With the team having a new coach for the first time since 2010, it is a new era in Seattle under former Ravens defensive coordinator Mike MacDonald who is replacing legendary coach Pete Carroll.

2024 will be an interesting season for the team as they look to return to the playoffs after a disappointing 2023 campaign and with that in mind, let's take a shot at predicting every game on the Seahawks 2024 schedule to see how their year could play out.

Week 1: Seattle Seahawks Vs Denver Broncos

the Broncos are projected to be one of the worst teams in football this season with a season win total of 5.5 on most sportbooks.

But as all Seahawks fans know, this game will be way tighter than it should be because that is the Seahawk way.

In Bo Nix's first NFL start, the look defense forces the rookie into a late turnover and Seattle starts 1-0.

Result: Seahawks Win 23-21 (1-0)

Week 2: Seattle Seahawks @ New England Patriots

East Coast trip for the Patriots home opener in their first season without Bill Belichick in 24 years does seem like a trappy spot, especially since New England should still have an elite defense, so a surprise loss would not shock me. However, the Patriots' offence is so putrid and will struggle to score points all year. Seattle escapes Boston with a W.

Result: Seahawks Win 20-14 (2-0)

Week 3: Seattle Seahawks Vs Miami Dolphins

The game the offence gets going. I saw what Mike MacDonald did to Tua last year when he was with the Ravens and although he likely did have better personnel in Baltimore, Seattle does have the corners to at least make it tough on the Dolphins star wideouts.

Seahawks win a shootout and start 3-0.

Result: Seahawks Win 33-30 (3-0)

Week 4: Seattle Seahawks @ Detroit Lions (Monday Night Football)

The Seahawks have beaten the Lions the past two seasons in Detroit but unfortunately, the streak ends here. Detroit and Seattle play another thriller but the Lions hand the Hawks their first loss of 2024.

Result: Lions Win 31-26 (3-1)

Week 5: Seattle Seahawks Vs New York Giants

Going to keep this short and simple.

Daniel Jones doesn't scare anyone and the Giants offense stinks. Seahawks win.

Result: Seahawks Win 23-10 (4-1)

Week 6: Seattle Seahawks Vs San Francisco 49ers (Thursday Night Football)

Thursday Night Football in Seattle is typically a great spot for the Seahawks, except when it's against the 49ers...

I expect it to be closer than years past, but the Niners go into Seattle and win the first matchup of the year between these two division rivals.

Result: 49ers Win 27-20 (4-2)

Week 7: Seattle Seahawks @ Atlanta Falcons

I honestly believe the Falcons could be the most disappointing team in the NFL this season. Not loving the vibes in the QB room. The Seahawks go into Georgia and bounce back from the prior week's loss off their mini bye.

Result: Seahawks Win 24-23 (5-2)

Week 8: Seattle Seahawks Vs Buffalo Bills

Josh Allen is either throwing 4 touchdowns or 4 interceptions this game.

I expect the Seahawks to be one of the most inconsistent defense's in the league under this new regime. With this being the first time all year they face a truly elite quarterback, Allen gets the best of Seattle to hand the Hawks a second straight home loss.

Result: Bills Win 28-24 (5-3)

Week 9: Seattle Seahawks Vs Los Angeles Rams

Mike MacDonald vs Sean McVay's chess match will be awesome to watch for years.

In their first matchup as head coaches, the Seahawks get the best of the Rams and for the third straight year, begin the season 6-3 as they head into a week 10 bye.

Result: Seahawks Win 22-20 (6-3)

Week 11: Seattle Seahawks @ San Francisco 49ers

THE STREAK FINALLY ENDS!!!

The Seahawks off the bye go into San Fran and beat the 49ers for the first time since 2021 for perhaps their most impressive win in years.

Result: Seahawks Win 26-23 (7-3)

Week 12: Seattle Seahawks Vs Arizona Cardinals

After such an emotional win in San Francisco the week before, the Seahawks return home and come out slow which leads to a loss to a head-scratching loss to the Cardinals.

Result: Cardinals Win 24-14 (7-4)

Week 13: Seattle Seahawks @ New York Jets

Geno Smith's return to New York to face the Jets doesn't go as planned as the offensive line struggles against the Jets front.

Seattle loses a second straight game.

Result: Jets Win 23-14 (7-5)

Week 14: Seattle Seahawks @ Arizona Cardinals

After two straight losses, the Seahawks come out firing and thump the Cardinals as they look to stay firm in the playoff race.

Result: Seahawks Win 35-17 (8-5)

Week 15: Seattle Seahawks Vs Green Bay Packers (Sunday Night Football)

Seahawks Vs Packers is truly one of the most underrated NFL rivalries of the 21st century as when these two teams matchup, it never seems to disappoint.

In the throwback jerseys, the Seahawks take down Jordan Love and the Packers in prime time at home to move closer to clinching a spot in the postseason.

Result: Seahawks Win 27-26 (9-5)

Week 16: Seattle Seahawks Vs Minnesota Vikings

In their final home game of the season, the Seahawks take down the Vikings who will likely be starting rookie J.J. McCarthy to clinch a return to playoffs in Mike MacDonald's first season on the job.

Result: Seahawks Win 24-21 (10-5)

Week 17: Seattle Seahawks @ Chicago Bears (Thursday Night Football)

After clinching a playoff spot the week before, a letdown in Chicago won't be shocking. As the Bears continue to fight for a playoff spot, the Seahawks lose at Soldier Field in primetime.

Result: Bears Win 28-18 (10-6)

Week 18: Seattle Seahawks @ Los Angeles Rams

In the regular season finale, the Rams avenge their loss from earlier in the season.

The Seahawks drop back-to-back games as they enter the post-season on a bit of a downer.

Result: Rams Win 23-16 (10-7)

Conclusion:

The Seahawks end the year as either the 6 or 7 seed in the NFC playoff field with a record of 10-7 and Mike MacDonald's first season as Seahawks head coach is deemed a success as the team has multiple signature wins throughout the season.
